Dario G. ’19 Named Our 2025 Agent of Change

Alumni Spotlight: Dario G. ’19 Named Our Latest Agent of Change

We’re proud to name Dario G. ’19 as our latest Alumni Agent of Change award winner! His journey from Episcopal Day to the University of Southern California is a powerful reminder that changemaking doesn’t always begin with bold declarations—it often starts with small, intentional actions that ripple outward into lasting impact.

Over the years, Dario has continually found ways to blend creativity, service, and purpose in everything he does. During high school, he joined ParaRow, a program that made rowing accessible for athletes with disabilities. He later worked on AccessAble as part of Stanford’s Design the Future program, helping design tools to support accessibility in everyday life.

As a student at Sacred Heart Prep, he built an accessible study space as part of the school’s Design for Good class, sourcing materials from scrap metal and glass in an effort to keep his project sustainable and earth-conscious. That experience fueled a continued interest in sustainability, which led him to work with Grassroots Ecology, a local nonprofit focused on community-based environmental restoration.

Now a student at USC majoring in Real Estate Development with a minor in Architecture, Dario is combining all of these experiences as he works toward a future where development projects are not only innovative, but also accessible and sustainable. His vision is rooted in the belief that design can and should serve everyone, a belief that traces all the way back to his time at EDS.

We were thrilled to welcome Dario back to campus this week, where he spoke with our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders about his path and encouraged them to consider how their own passions can shape a more just and inclusive world. In true Mustang fashion, other members of the Class of 2019 stopped by as well to say hello and reconnect with their former teachers and the EDS community.

Dario’s story is one of purpose, reflection, and action, and we can’t wait to see what he does next.
