Episcopal Day On Ice

Episcopal Day On Ice

Episcopal Day sponsored our first free Community Ice Skating Day in November and welcomed over 1,200 skaters to the San Mateo On Ice Rink in Central Park.

The event took place on a beautiful sunny winter day and brought the Episcopal Day community and neighbors together to enjoy over six hours of free skating. Guests glided over the ice in the sunshine during the day and under the stars at night. Students from the San Mateo Elementary Schools had a half-day and joined in on the fun early, filling the rink with cheerful smiles faster than we expected. To top off the day, we added some hot chocolate and created the perfect community skating day recipe.

Our Admissions team planned Episcopal Day on Ice to promote the Episcopal Day way and offer prospective families and neighbors a look into our most valuable asset— our inclusive and joyful school community.

The ice rink is located in San Mateo's Central Park, features 11,000 square feet of real ice, and will be open from November 11, 2022, to January 8, 2023. We hope this is the first of many community events in partnership with the City of San Mateo.

Have an Ice Day!
