Knock, Knock! Special Deliveries & Stage Magic
If you thought a regular delivery service had its quirks, you haven’t seen Knock Knock—our hilarious fourth grade play written by Kathryn Funkhouser and Jason Pizzarello! This fast-paced comedy had audiences laughing from start to finish as a team of delivery people navigated an increasingly bizarre set of recipients: a ghost, a hazmat-suited mystery person, a burglar and his daughter, a porch pirate or two—and more!
But the real magic? It was everything that happened behind the scenes.
This wasn’t just a performance—it was a production led by our fourth graders. Students took on leadership roles as director’s assistants, set designers, advertising and poster creators, and more. Their ownership of the process—from concept to curtain call—showcased just how much they’ve grown over the years, not just as students, but as people.
These performing arts moments are more than just performances—they’re launchpads for confidence, collaboration, and creativity. A huge thank you to Ms. Samta for her inspiring direction, and to our fourth grade teaching team—Mr. Perlas, Ms. Osterlund, and Ms. Santillan—for their support. Special shoutout to Mr. Elfante and Sra. Grana for making the backstage magic run smoothly!
We can’t wait for you to see just how much fun (and talent!) was packed into this delivery.
