Mustang Actors Star In ‘Our Town’
Episcopal Day was transformed into Grover’s Corner this past month as Mustangs starred in the spring production of Our Town. It was fantastic to hear the applause and laughs, and see the beaming faces of friends, family, faculty, and classmates as they enjoyed the classic American play.
As a fully interactive experience, actors sauntered down isles of the auditorium and even enjoyed friendly banter with audience members. Students brought to life the story of two young people who fall in love in a simple, rustic town, while teaching the important moral to appreciate one another and to celebrate life’s special moments, big or small. The moral of the story was very fitting as the experience of Covid has enhanced our community’s appreciation for joyful experiences like this spring production.
“Appreciating our community and the moments we have with one another is more important now more than ever. It was a powerful experience for our students to share this message with their peers, family, friends, and faculty” explains Director Thomas Bazar, “It was extremely rewarding to see the dedication and skills of our cast and crew come together into a wonderful production enjoyed by all who attended.”
It takes a village to put on a production. Thank you to all of our faculty, staff, parents, and students who made Our Town not only a successful production, but also a deeper celebration of our community. Well done, Mustangs!
