Third Grade's 'Vacation on Mars'
Last month, our third grade stars took us on an unforgettable journey through the solar system with their performance of Vacation on Mars, a musical adventure written by John Heath with music composed by Ron Fink.
Led by the ever-resourceful (and slightly chaotic) tour guides of Betty’s Basement Bargain Tours, our young actors got into character as the planets in our solar system, telling the wacky, fun story of a family’s out-of-this-world vacation to Mars. Their ‘budget’ space vacation was filled with unexpected stops, cosmic mix-ups, and lots of laughs. Along the way, they sang, danced, and acted their way through the galaxy, bringing our solar system to life with personality, humor, and heart.
From high-energy musical numbers to memorable one-liners, the play captured the curiosity and spirit of our third grade class. Huge thanks to Ms. Samta and our amazing third grade teaching team, Mrs. Flowers and Ms. Luna, for helping bring this creative vision to life on stage.
