Parents as Partners

A mom hugs her daughter as her daughter smiles

Dear Parents,

Welcome to the Day School Parents’ Association (DSPA). As parents, guardians, and members of our school community, you are automatically members of the DSPA.

The Day School Parents Association (DSPA) aims to strengthen the bond between parents, students, and the Episcopal Day community. They organize and sponsor various events and programs such as Community Service and Service Learning opportunities, Faculty and Staff Appreciation, Parent Education, Mustang Merchandise, Fall Festival, Donut Day, and other community-building activities.

The DSPA Board is a group of nearly forty volunteer committee leaders that meets monthly to discuss and coordinate our various activities. A list of the Board positions can be found below. Meetings are held monthly and are open to all, please check the school calendar for dates.  We invite you to attend or to reach out to us directly to find out how you can get more involved!

Please take some time to review this year's events and mark your calendars to join us at our many beloved school traditions and activities.

Go Mustangs!

Getting Involved

Episcopal Day students benefit from a strong partnership between home and school. From the first day of school to the last, school life is bustling with activities, events, assemblies, performances, and field trips that are supported either directly or indirectly by parents.

Many volunteering activities are coordinated through the DSPA, and managed by a parent committee who meet on a monthly basis. Parent volunteers set a strong example for our students.

We encourage all parents to get involved and a guideline for family participation is 15 volunteer hours annually. Parents fulfill their hours through a combination of participation in events, classroom support and serving on committees.

Attend the School Volunteer Job Fair on the first day of school to learn more about volunteer opportunities for the upcoming year, meet event chairs, and get involved!
